André Marcotte has been practising architecture for over 30 years. He is a co-founder, along with Robert Martin, of the firm Martin + Marcotte architectes, established in 1985 and becoming Martin Marcotte / Beinhaker Architectes in 2008. He is recognized for his management abilities, his dynamism, his dedication, his strict attention to the client's requirements, and his skills in organizing and structuring the work of his team and of other professionals. He knows how to define the scope of the work of each team member, gain the confidence and trust of professionals and thus bring any major decision-making rapidly and efficiently to a consensus. He makes sure that both design and technical choices meet the needs of the project and that they result in a coherent and effective architectural outcome.

Robert Martin has been practising architecture for over 30 years. He is a co-founder, along with André Marcotte, of the firm Martin + Marcotte architectes, established in 1985 and becoming Martin Marcotte / Beinhaker Architectes in 2008. He is recognized for his leadership qualities, his great adaptability and his skill in providing direction for the teams and the projects for which he is responsible. For him, team synergy is a key factor for the success of projects, and he adores the challenges presented in managing a multi-disciplinary team. Since 2010, Mr. Martin has been the MMB associate director in charge of the coordination team for the production and design of the McGill University Hospital Centre (MUHC). In carrying out this large scale, $1,300 million project as a public-private partnership (PPP), he has developed new work methods that he has incorporated into the work methodology at MMB Architectes.

Founded in 1985, Martin Marcotte / Beinhaker Architectes works in the institutional, commercial, industrial, hospital, school and residential fields. The leader in Quebec in the field of integrating and using BIM (Building Information Modeling) technologies, the firm has always accorded great importance to architectural design and sustainable development. Today, the firm has more than 100 employees distributed among its offices downtown and at the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) construction site. MMB Architectes is directed by two founding architects, associates André Marcotte and Robert Martin, each of whom have 30 years of experience in the field of architecture. Five other associate architects complete the management team.

Since April 2008, MMB Architectes has been affiliated with IBI Group, a multi-disciplinary consulting firm founded in 1974, which offers specialized services in four broad fields: urban planning, construction, transportation and systems.  By joining a network of this magnitude, MMB Architectes is able to benefit from the skills and vast experience of all members of IBI Group, who have to their credit the construction of a myriad of projects of all sizes.
